Sound Field Audiometry

Sound Field Audiometry is a procedure to assess hearing ability using Warble tones, white or narrow band noises, and speech stimuli presented through speakers.

Loudspeakers are placed at head height of listener and directed towards the ears of listener. The distance between loudspeaker and listener should be at least 1 meter.

  • Assessment of hearing in young children.
  • Assessment of hearing in difficult to test population
  • To assess benefits of hearing devices.
